7 Healthy Superfood Smoothie Recipes For High Energy Workday

 

Despite knowing the importance of breakfast, many of us tend to skip it because of our hectic schedule. Well, smoothies are a great alternative to traditional breakfast, which you can whip up easily in about two minutes or less.

Including these awesome healthy superfood smoothie recipes in your breakfast can help your body meet most, if not all, of its energy needs for the day.

So, let’s get started.

1. Blueberry Flax Smoothie

Blueberry happens to be my favorite superfood, and so this recipe is at the top of my priority list. It’s also super easy to make.

Blueberries are low in calories and contain a high level of nutrients like fiber, Vitamins C & K, Manganese, among others (1).

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup frozen blueberries
  2. Spinach (a handful)
  3. 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  4. 1 scoop of Vegan Pro Maple Vanilla
  5. 1 cup coconut milk

How to Make Blueberry Flax Smoothie

Mix all the ingredients in a jar and blend until smooth. Like I said, super easy to make.

2. Strawberry - Goji Berry Smoothie

Goji Berry Smoothie

Another of my favorite berry smoothies.

I like Goji berries because they are rich in nutrients like vitamins A, C & B2, protein, fiber, and important minerals such as potassium, iron, copper, and more (2).

Besides, strawberries are also a very good source of Vitamin C, which strengthens our immune system.

Ingredients

How to Make Goji Berry Smoothie

Leave the goji berries with 1 tablespoon of water for about 15 minutes. Once they get softer, mix with other ingredients and blend until smooth.

3. Spiced Green Tea Smoothie

Who would have thought that tea can be beneficial for the body, but it actually is, at least green tea is. We are very well aware of the benefits of green tea in reducing weight, improving brain function and overall health (3).

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chilled green tea
  • 1 lemon Juice
  • 1 small skinless pear cut into pieces
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp agave nectar
  • 1 scoop of Maple Vanilla Vegan Pro
  • Ice cubes

4. Chocolate Avocado Smoothie

  • 2 bananas, frozen
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cup fresh, frozen raspberries
  • 1-2 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 2 cups almond or coconut milk

  • 1/2 cup pineapple, frozen
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 1 tsp Raw Organic Maca Powder

Blend everything together in a mixer. Serve with or without ice, as you prefer.

This amazing superfood has the goodness of bananas, cherries and berries. You can’t simply miss including it in your breakfast at least once a week.

  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1/2 fresh banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cherries, frozen
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • Fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • Fresh blackberries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1 tbsp pepitas
  • 1 teaspoon of Açai berry powder

How to Make Antioxidant Smoothie Bowl

Blend a frozen banana, hemp seeds, cherries, and almond milk together until smooth. Pour the blend into a bowl and dress with banana slices, berries, coconut flakes, etc.
