5 different and fun sports to try

When you think of moving, you think of two great classics: going to the gym or running. On the other hand, these two ways of exercising are not necessarily for everyone or can become routine and boring in the long run. It feels good from time to time to try a different sport in which we can even forget that we are sweating and working our muscles.

There are now so many sports of all kinds that it would be a shame not to try them! Invite your friends or family and have fun together! Perhaps you will even discover a new passion there?

You will see: moving while having fun is so much more motivating!

5 different and fun sports to try

1. Hula hoop

Seriously, there is nothing more fun than a hula hoop class. Whether or not you are able to rotate it around your hips, you will have a big smile throughout the course. Little secret: You will learn faster than you think about how to master it. Once you get the hang of it, it's a lot easier than you think. It’s a way of moving that is a perfect mix of cardio and abdominal workout. After an hour of hula hoop, you will definitely feel it the next day!

2. Pole fitness

There is, unfortunately, a lot of prejudice around pole fitness, because it is confused with erotic pole dancing. However, these are two completely different things. Pole fitness is a sport that is a bit like gymnastics. This requires a minimum of coordination (it becomes easier over time) and a lot of upper body and abdominal strength. Learning to perform different postures and practicing chaining them one after the other is so motivating. We work hard without almost noticing it.

3. Pound

If you are a music fanatic, chances are you will like this sport! It’s a mix of dance and exercise in which we hold drumsticks in our hands. The goal is to do the exercises by striking, at the rhythm of the different songs, the sticks on the ground, or themselves. It's a great way to let off steam, but also to have fun. It works the whole body a lot, but the music makes us forget it a bit. Try it with friends, fun guaranteed!

4. Climbing

Climbing is a great way to push yourself, to take on challenges, and, at the same time, to work your upper body. There are so many different climbing centers and walls; There is something for every taste! It’s also a fun family sport. The youngest will have as much fun as the oldest!

5. Aerial yoga

This slightly different type of yoga is practiced using a hammock hanging from the ceiling! By removing the effect of gravity, it makes it more fun, but also less difficult on the joints than traditional yoga. It's a mix of yoga, pilates, and circus! Perfect for reconnecting with your inner child, learning to let go and develop balance. A sport that makes the body works differently.
