5 Good Reasons to MOVE!
5 good reasons to MOVE!
No, no, I will not talk about physical change or weight loss! There are many benefits of moving, and I am the first to have seen a considerable impact on my life since I move every day.
Getting active doesn't necessarily mean running for an hour a day or lifting heavyweights. Each person should have their own way of moving that suits them and makes them happy. For example, for a long time, I forced myself to run 5 km a day by calculating my time. I realized that it was putting a lot of pressure on me and losing the pleasure of running. Now I run when I feel like it and no longer count my time and distance. For me, that's perfect!
Here are 5 good reasons to stretch your legs more often...
1. Increase your energy!
We have all heard of endorphins (hormones produced by our brains). They are secreted, among other things, when our body engages in physical activity. The release of endorphins, mainly dopamine, increases our energy levels! For my part, I always train in the morning, and I see a significant impact on my energy level during the day.
2. Stay in shape for longer!
Move to age well. I like to imagine myself as a super fit grandma who can play with her grandchildren. I know that not everyone has the chance to age healthy, but I want to put the odds on my side to be in good shape for as long as possible.
3. Decrease stress!
To come back to endorphins, these hormones allow a state of well-being, reducing stress. In my personal experience, I feel much less anxious in the morning (just after my workout) than in the evening!
4. Have fun!
Thanks to endorphins again? Yes. Yes! Being active really makes you feel good and happy. But for that, we have to like the way we move. Find a sport that interests us (running, tennis, cycling, weight training, yoga, hiking, pilates, whatever). Moving for pleasure will certainly bring a positive to your day.
5. Have a moment to yourself!
Finally, being active allows you to have a little time to yourself. A moment in our very busy days when we put ourselves first. We do something for us that gives us pleasure. These little moments are precious and remind us not to forget ourselves.
Hope this made you want to stretch your legs!
