Extra Protein Snickers-like Oatmeal

Extra Protein Snickers-like Oatmeal

This oatmeal makes a perfect breakfast because it is extremely high in protein and carbohydrates. It will give you plenty of energy to start the day! It can also be eaten as a snack after physical activity like a long run, a hike or even a home workout!

I am not a big fan of oatmeal, but I have to say that this one is very much in my tastes. I usually find the oatmeal too gooey, but this one, thanks to the Vegan Pro, has a perfect texture and a decadent taste!

I think this will become my camping breakfast for this summer!

Ingredients (One serving)

3/4 cup Oatmeal
1 1/2 cup Unsweetened plant-based milk
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
1 serving Vegan Pro - Butterscotch
2 tbsp Natural peanut butter
1 tbsp Maple syrup (optional)
Pinch of salt

Dark chocolate


1. In a small saucepan over high heat, bring the oatmeal, plant-based milk and vanilla extract to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2. Off the heat, add the Vegan Pro, peanut butter, maple syrup and salt. Mix, cover and let stand for 2 minutes.

3. Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and garnish it with peanuts and dark chocolate to taste.

    Ohhhh lala que ce gruau est délicieux! Définitivement ma recette préférée de gruau extra protéiné. J’ai mis de la prot. de érable /vanille ainsi que quelques morceaux de bananes.
