It's not our first cookie recipe on the blog, but it might be one of our favourites! With its chocolate and caramel flavours (thanks to the maca powder), it's the perfect treat to eat as a snack or a dessert, to share with someone or to keep all for yourself!

Maca Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Have you ever tried maca before? This root from Peru is almost magical: it gives a nice boost to your health and a nice caramel-y flavour to your recipes!

Ingredients (18 cookies)

1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
1 cup Brown sugar, packed
½ cup Vegan butter
½ cup Vegan white chocolate chips
½ cup Vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup Plant milk
2 tsp Vanilla extract
1 heaping tsp Baking powder
¼ tsp Salt

Method :

1. Combine the butter and sugar in a bowl.

2. Add in the milk and vanilla.

3. Next, mix in the maca powder, cacao powder, salt, baking soda, and flour.

4. Fold in the chocolate chips.

5. Refrigerate the cookie dough for 30 minutes or overnight.

6. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

7. Scoop the cookie dough using an ice cream scooper, & place the balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

8. Bake for 17-20 minutes.

9. Remove and let cool for approximately 10 minutes. Enjoy!

Notes
Leave enough room between the cookies to expand in the oven.
