Delicious Plant-based S'MORES Brownies
I don't know why I didn't think of this recipe sooner. We all know the s'mores sandwich, which consists of two graham crackers with a toasted marshmallow in the middle and a square of chocolate. So I thought it was perfect for preparing this dessert in the form of brownies!
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 20 x 20 cm (8 x 8 in) square pan with parchment paper.
2. In a small container, mix the flax and water. Set aside 5 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine flour, cacao, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
4. In a second large bowl, using a whisk, combine the flax mixture, butter, plant-based milk, sugar and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients, stirring with a spatula. Add the chocolate chips and mix.
5. Pour the mixture into the mold and garnish it with graham crackers and marshmallows. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out with a little of the mixture (it doesn't have to come out clean).
