The Vegan Apple Turnovers

The BEST apple turnovers. Baking can seem hard, but I guarantee it couldn’t be easier! No need to make your own dough. Just use tortillas, and it’s just as good.

Here, Vegan Pro replaces cornstarch and spices plus adds protein.

Ingredients (6 turnovers)

3 large Tortillas
Filling
2 large or 3 small Apples, peeled, cored and diced
2 tbsp White sugar
1 tbsp Lime juice
Comestible glue
1 tbsp All-purpose flour
1 tbsp Water
Glaze
1 tbsp Margarine
1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon

Method :

1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Combine the apples, sugar and lime juice in a saucepan. Over medium-high heat, bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes. Add the Vegan Pro, mix and transfer directly to a bowl.

3. Mix the flour and water in a small container to obtain the glue.

4. Cut the tortillas in 2. Bring the two ends of the tortilla to the center to form a triangle. Put glue on the inside of the tortilla to close the part of the tortilla that is not stuck together. The tortilla should form a cone. Add the filling inside and close the tortilla with the glue.

5. add the margarine and cinnamon in a small container for the glaze. Heat for 10 seconds in the microwave and, using a brush, spread on the turnovers.

6. Place the turnovers on the baking sheet and cook for 10 minutes in the oven.
