Vegan Old-Fashioned Donuts

Who doesn't love donuts? I literally love all kinds of donuts, but I admit to having a weakness for the "old-fashioned" ones. Their taste is sweeter and simple. Thanks to Vegan Pro with maple and vanilla flavour, this recipe has something extra. It adds a touch of vanilla that is just perfect!

These donuts are also extra soft, and I highly recommend enjoying them with your favourite hot beverage.

Ingredients (6 donuts)

1 cup All-purpose flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1/8 tsp Ground ginger
1/8 tsp Ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp Ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
1 cup Plant-based milk
1/3 cup Cane sugar
1/4 cup Canola oil
1 tsp Apple cider vinegar

Garnish
2 tbsp Cane sugar
2 tbsp Icing sugar

Method :

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly oil 6 cavities of a donut mould.

2. In a bowl, mix the flour, Vegan Pro, baking powder, spices and salt.

3. In a second large bowl, mix the remaining ingredients. Add the dry ingredients and mix gently with a whisk.

4. Distribute the dough to the bottom of the moulds. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the dough comes out clean.

5. Meanwhile, mix the 2 sugars for the topping. Unmold the donuts and cover with the garnish. Leave to cool on a cooling rack.
